My agency has successfully generated millions in Google Ads revenue, but it's crucial to understand that Google Ads aren't a quick ticket to wealth.
They are designed for brands looking for long-term growth.
If you're considering venturing into Google Ads, here's a guide to what your first two months should look like:
In the initial 3 days, start with an in-depth audit of your current Google Ads account. This involves reviewing any existing campaigns, keywords, and ad groups. Extend this audit to other platforms you're using to understand your advertising landscape comprehensively.
Between Day 3 and Day 5, you'll use your audit's insights to set up the foundational structure of your new Google Ads campaigns. This includes creating your initial campaigns, ad groups, and ad copies.
At this stage, it's also essential to implement tracking codes and set conversion goals.
Days 5 to 30 are crucial for the testing phase. During this period, Google's algorithm will optimize the campaigns you've built. To identify what's working, you should closely monitor various data points, including product performance, different angles, offers, bids, and more. This phase requires budget and patience, and if you're not willing to invest in both, it may be better to postpone using Google Ads until you are.
From Day 30 to 45, the focus shifts to the profitability phase. Based on the data you've gathered, you should refine your strategies to concentrate on successful elements. This involves turning off underperforming campaigns and reallocating your budget toward winning ones.
Finally, during Days 45 to 60, you'll enter the scaling phase. This is where you take your winning strategies and amplify their reach by adding new audiences and exploring additional targeting strategies. The key is to leverage the successful aspects of your campaigns to create even more effective ad copy.
Throughout this 60-day period, my team and I run a series of regular optimizations on the ad accounts we're managing.
