To enable this feature:
- Go to campaign settings
- Find "Automatically created assets"
- Turn on "Text assets" to access final URL expansion
How it works:
- Similar to Dynamic Search Ads within your Performance Max campaign
- Google can serve ads that lead to landing pages not specifically included in your asset groups
- You can exclude certain URLs using simple rules
Reporting limitations:
- Google Ads' "Landing Pages" report often hides Performance Max landing page data
- Use GA4 for more detailed insights:
- Navigate to "Engagement" → "Landing Page" report
- Add "Campaign ID" as a second dimension
- Filter for your specific Performance Max campaign ID
