To set up a Performance Max campaign:
- In your Google Ads account, click on "Campaigns" then the "+" button
- Select "Sales" as your goal
- Choose "Purchases" as your specific objective
- Select "Performance Max" campaign type
- Link your Google Merchant Center account - this is critical as Performance Max for e-commerce relies heavily on your product feed
Remember that Performance Max for e-commerce is essentially an evolution of shopping campaigns, and the product feed in Google Merchant Center is a fundamental component for success.
